Cruising with My Family

Events still take me by surprise so one day I was delighted
to discover that my Grama and Grampa, aunts and uncle
came to our house to go on a Caribbean Cruise to
celebrate Grama and Grampa's 40th Wedding Anniversary.
You can safely say I fell in love with my Aunt Stacy.

(To better see the photos, double click on the first one and scroll through.)
Videos of Uncle Simeon's dog Gizmo kept me entertained
especially as we waited to board the ship.
Here we all are!
Ready to Cruise!
Aunt Stacy and Uncle Simeon, Aunt Sarah,
Grama and Grampa, and, of course,
Judah, Mommy, Daddy and me, Elena!
We ladies are exploring the ship.
 Look at the wake!
Yep, Aunt Stacy is sure nice.
I'm so calm with her.
Grampa and I on our combined balcony.
 Let me in, Grama!
Ah!  Enjoying the pool with Mommy.
All dressed for supper and waiting for everyone else.
There were plenty of elevators and stairs to go
up and down on.
While Mommy and Daddy and my aunts and uncle
went zip-lining on Jamaica
I lounged on Deck 12.
 Such a nice day!
Grama and I are trying these petal chairs.
What a wonderful way to enjoy a beautiful day!
The Stroller is "just in case" but since Grama's handy,
I don't need it.
Judah let me wear his Captain's Hat.
Mommy and I are dancing with the waiter during dinner.
 Cuddle time with Aunt Stacy!
I'm too short to go on the slide with Judah
 but no matter!
 I love
 getting soaked
by all the water falling from the slides!
It was SO great being with Daddy and Mommy and Judah!
With Aunt Sarah ready to go to dinner again.
He's not a real sailor, but has a nice lap to sit on here
on the Grand Cayman.
We went to this beach in Mexico.
 It's a nice hot day!
Grama took me for a stroll in the botanical garden
and Mayan ruins.  A great time for a little nap!
Take a close look.  Grampa and I have the same toes!
Grama noticed this interesting bit of genetics!
Enjoying Deck 5 with my dear Aunt Stacy
 and my Grama and Mommy.
There is plenty of room to run around!
 Who needs
 a club
 to play Mini-Golf?
Bye! Bye! at the end of a great week at Sea!

I'm a Cruiser!

When Mommy told me that Grama and Grampa were taking
the WHOLE family on a Caribbean cruise to celebrate
their 40th wedding anniversary,
I couldn't imagine what the big boat would look like.
Here we're waiting to board.
(I'm not sure what Elena is doing!)
 Wow!  The Carnival Magic!
This is the elevator in the atrium.
It goes all they way to the slides on top of the ship!
Aunt Stacy and Uncle Simeon's state room is at the end of the balcony
 then ours
 and then Grampa and Grama's.
Aunt Sarah's was across the hall.
We're at the stern (back) of the ship
on our evening stroll around Deck 5.
The Lido Deck is where the fun begins!
I can't wait to enjoy the water.
There are tube slides for the big folks
 and these slides for kids.
On my first day at sea
I went down the slide hundreds of times!  No kidding!
Even Daddy had a great time!
Water poured down from a big bucket.
Grampa is holding me.
We sure had a great time!

I also loved the pools where I practiced my
Cannonballs
 and Belly-Smackers!
Glad I took all those swim classes!
 I loved the spa
because I could touch and it was warm.
Grampa had to buy a baseball cap so he got me a Captain's Hat.
I enjoyed ice cream cones whenever I felt like it.
During dinner, I went to Camp Carnival and played with the
other children.  More fun than sitting at the table and listening
to the grown-ups talk.
On our port call at the Grand Cayman Island
Daddy and I went on a submarine!
 Down the hatch I go!
 There were windows
and I saw lots of fish, including a shark!

We went to this beach on Cozumel, Mexico
I'm ready for another great time!
 Look at the dolphins!
Is it safe to swim with the fish?
Playing in the sand never gets old.
My first Kayak ride with Daddy.
Here we are!  So many new experiences.
The iguanas sunned on the rock walls.
The crocodiles were in a special area.
This hat is almost as big as I am!
 Yum!  Another ice cream cone!
Grama is reading Winnie the Pooh.
Here I am, posing not as Superman
 but Captain Silly!
The Pirate Ship in Grand Cayman wasn't working
but I am still the Dread Pirate Judah!
Arriving back in Galveston early in the morning
after one of the greatest weeks of my life!
Thanks, Grama and Grampa!
Can we do it again?
