17 month portraits

Last Tuesday, to mark my 17 month milestone, my  Momma got me all dressed up in a sailor suit and took some photos of me at a beautiful park called Bayou Bend.  Enjoy!

Bye-bye!

So Much to Enjoy

It started with Grampa Sam giving a benefit concert.
His fingers go so fast and he makes such pretty music.
Then we went to the Buffalo Bayou Regatta.
Daddy, Grampa and I watched the boats go by.
Maybe Daddy and I will be in the Regatta someday.
As we walked through the woods, Daddy would hide
and then jump out at me.
And then Mommy joined us and she hid and surprised me.
I laughed so hard.
When we went back to the zoo, Mommy and I crawled through a fish tank.
I liked riding on the merry-go-round this time and even waved to Grama.
She was so happy to see me come around each time.
We went to the Bayou Bend Garden to see the azaleas.
What a perfect spring day!
I'm saying good-bye to some nice ladies who enjoyed watching
me play in the water in that little sculpture.
I love to look at water and this fountain was beautiful.
This little statue was holding a bird.
But best of all is being with Mom and Dad
wherever we go.

I'm Growing up

The first time I sat in my high chair I was 6 months old.
Now I am almost 17 months old and
my feet just about reach the foot rest.
My eyelashes appeared when I was 6 weeks old.
Now they are over half an inch long.
I also have more hair on top.

At 5 weeks I love to be upside-down.
Such a nice stretch.
It's still so much fun and I laugh uproariously.

This is how tall I was at 10 months playing at my favorite park.
This is what I looked like a few days ago.

Since I'm a member of the Houston Zoo and go there a lot
the African drums will be my next measuring stick.
Stay tuned!

Texas Livestock Show

This was an impressive show.
We saw lots of cows.
For all you UT fans, this is the official mascot,
Bevo XIV.
In this huge building were 1000 pigs!
One of them will win the 1st Prize of $40,000
This one is taking a little stroll for exercise.
Some Pig!
In the Birthing Center 12 piglets were born while we were there.

I made a beeline for the John Deere's newest models.

Boy, this is great!

I'd love to take this baby out.

I'm not exactly sure what this does...

but don't I look the part?
What a great afternoon!
Thank you, Farmers, for all your work!
