Trains and Trucks

My Momma had no intention of providing me with such "gendered" toys.  But I certainly have my preferences.  And for me, trains, trucks, and cars are fascinating.

As you know I've been interested in them for most of my life.

I never pass by an opportunity to try out a new rig.

Yep. I see school buses all the time.I have a race track that's lots of fun.Momma and I are neck and neck!I'm the farmer's biggest load.This dump truck is awfully handy.The coffee table is just the right size for my train.

This train looks like my Thomas Train Engine.I'd sure like to go on it.Here I am! on the train with Grama!We were at the little park and decided to come to our train-watching site

and a freight train was going by!Perfect timing!

For some reason it stopped so I'm signing the word for "more!"

Grama stitched together 4 photos of the train.  Impressive!On Father's Day, Papa thought he'd like to see some minature trains.

Good idea!

The train sets were very elaborate.Momma looks as though she's enjoying them too.And I know Grama is having a great time!  As was I, of course. 

Fire Truck Museum and Grand Opening

Grama and Grampa know I love fire trucks so they took

me to the Houston Fire Museum.

I turned on those lights!I could even wear a fire coat....and hat. This steering wheel is almost as big as I am!Whee! Grampa and I tried out the pole.These buttons control the pumps.It's vital to have the proper pressure for the hoses.Here's the new Station Mascot.

Grama's suggestion for his name is "Septimus"

since this is Station 7 1/2.

Often an ambulance follows a fire truck.

Papa and I are testing the one at the Children's Museum.And here comes the lawyer and her helper!This was taken a year ago May and shows that I've

been watching the construction of Whole Foods since the beginning.At last! The Grand Opening!

I'm all set to go inside to try the SAMPLES! Yum!

New about Town

I love going to the new park nearby.
I'm sure this balance beam will increase my agility.Grampa Sam and I are "Twins" in our matching shirts and shorts.
We went to the Arboretum for the first time.

There were turtles and fish in the pond.

I love playing with water.

And now I can safely stand at the sink in my learning tower and play to my heart's content!

By another park a building is being torn down. This huge machine is removing the rubble.

I'm fascinated by machinery. The giant claw is impressive.

There was a convenient mudpuddle next to the fence so I could practice throwing stones while one truck drove away and another came for the next load.

Dexterous was the word Grama used to describe the claws.

I felt a tad apprehensive as it was loud.
